Building the Future at Home: New Jobs at the Largest AAC Factory

We are proud to announce that, just eight years after our founding, we inaugurated in Iernut the largest AAC (autoclaved aerated concrete) factory in Europe. Our EUR 40 million greenfield investment represents not only a strategic step in the company’s development, but also a real opportunity for the local community.
The FORTEM factory is fully automated and brings the most advanced construction technologies to Romania. Through this investment, we have created over 110 new jobs directly related to factory operations, bringing the total number of employees to 130.
We are pleased to see more people choosing to return home to Iernut to join our team or to start their own businesses, which we support through production-related orders.
Our impact is already visible: we contribute through taxes and duties to the development of the city, provide well-paid jobs, and build a strong and stable local economic ecosystem. This is our vision – sustainable growth with a real positive impact on the community and on Romania’s construction industry.
As stated in our interview for
revistabiz.ro, we aim to become a reference point for professionalism and innovation, both through the quality of FORTEM products and through respect for people and the environment. The second phase of our development will bring increased production capacity and new products – such as AAC panels – designed to meet current energy efficiency and sustainability needs.
We firmly believe that people are the key to any successful project. Together with our ever-growing team, we are building not only masonry materials, but also the future of a stronger, greener, and more people-centered industry.
